OLED Display-P3 Spectrum & Subpixel Science:
Commercial OLED displays (iPhone Super Retina XDR) do not contain genuine 810–850nm Near-Infrared (NIR) diodes. However, selecting Ultra-Deep Red (P3) clamps the green and blue sub-pixels completely to 0, driving only the deepest organic phosphors (peak ~625–660nm). This provides the longest possible optical wavelength attainable on mobile hardware while eliminating melanopsin-activating blue light.
